In 2009 I launched NolaDeals as sort of a Sam’s Club meets Email Newsletter.
That was pre-Groupon.
But they got the financial model right — I got it wrong. They charged a percentage of sale, where I was looking at a membership fee model.
But I still think there is something around the idea of NolaDeals.
